Our Commitment

Your privacy matters. LastPouch is built to help you quit nicotine pouches, not to profit from your data. We collect only what we need to provide the service and never sell your information to third parties.

What We Collect

LastPouch collects the following data:

• Account information: Email address and optional display name
• Usage logs: Pouch usage timestamps, craving logs, daily check-ins, and notes you add
• Onboarding preferences: Quit method, baseline usage, daily targets, cost per can, and reasons for quitting
• App analytics: Basic usage patterns to improve the app (no personal identifiers)

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, health data from other apps, or any information from other apps on your device.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Track your pouch usage and display your progress
• Calculate statistics like streaks, money saved, and reduction percentages
• Generate personalized insights and badge unlocks
• Sync your data across devices when logged in
• Send important service notifications (if you opt in)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

AI Features

If you use AI-powered features (Ember coaching, insights, weekly reports), your aggregated usage data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Specifically:

• What is shared: Usage patterns, statistics, and context you provide in conversations
• What is NOT shared: Your email address, name, or any personally identifiable information

Anthropic processes data according to their privacy policy and does not use it to train models.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is protected with industry-standard security measures:

• Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (US)
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plain text)
• Authentication uses JWT tokens stored securely on your device
• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Backups containing your data may persist for up to 90 days before being purged.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data at any time
• Export: Download your data as CSV (Premium feature)
• Delete: Delete your account and all associated data
• Correct: Update your profile information in the app

Third-Party Services

LastPouch uses the following third-party services:

• Neon: Database hosting (PostgreSQL)
• Vercel: Web hosting and API infrastructure
• Anthropic: AI features (Claude API)
• Apple: App distribution and payment processing

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

LastPouch is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
